Nigeria Esports Federation and Esports Association Ghana Sign Historic MOU to Revolutionize Esports in West Africa
Casablanca, Morocco – August 22, 2024 – In a landmark move, the Nigeria Esports Federation (NEF) and Esports Association Ghana (EAG) are proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the development of esports in the Sub-Sahara Africa region, with a specific focus on West Africa.
This groundbreaking partnership aims to create a dynamic esports ecosystem in West Africa, leveraging education and knowledge transfer to foster growth, innovation, and inclusivity. By combining their expertise, resources, and networks, NEF and EAG are committed to unlocking the vast potential of esports in the region.
Through this collaboration, both organizations will work together to:
- >> Develop grassroots esports initiatives, targeting schools, universities, and communities
- >> Create educational programs, workshops, and training sessions for players, coaches, and officials
- >> Host joint tournaments, events, and activations to promote esports and encourage participation
- >> Foster partnerships with governments, brands, and stakeholders to support the growth of esports in West Africa
